It's quite common to hear about 'stars' of the porn world trying to cross over into the 'regular' world. Some well known porn stars have had some success in appearing in regular movies and TV shows in recent years but what I was interested in is how many 'regular' stars and celebs actually have a secret background in porn?

Well, I was quite disappointed initially. It seems that making a porn flick can be kept pretty secret if needed. Of course, I did find out that Sylvester Stallone made a porn movie for $200/day before turning into Rambo and Rocky and that Jackie Chan (of all people) recently owned up to having also made a porn movie in his past. Certainly, California's Governor, Big Arnold, is known to have posed nude for various magazines early in his career too but that's about all I could find.

But then with Arnold's political career in mind I realized that some ex-porn stars have in fact become politicians. It seems Italy is the place to do this where in the 1980's. Ilona Staller, known as "Cicciolina" regularly treated her fellow MPs to impromptu stripteases. Now, another porn star is standing for parliament in Italy - Milly D'Abbraccio is her name. In a bid to win her seat she is using her natural assets - namely that part of her body that will sit in said seat if elected.

A little more research finally dug up an American porn star standing for high office. Mimi Miyagi ran for Governor of Nevada as a Republican! I can just see the Republican Christian right 'embracing' her candidacy.
