Young Brits are increasingly unpopular the tourist world over due to their drunken, violent and stupid behaviour. Take for example the British man who got drunk in Brno, Czech Republic and was arrested after breaking into a high security building, crashing under a desk and pooping in the waste basket. Or the drunken British woman who tried to open a door on an airplane at 32,000 ft punching several people in the process. She was arrested after the plane had to divert for an emergency landing and now faces jail and costs for the diversion.

What is it about British culture that produces such people?

CNN today have a story about a Greek who had a row with his girlfriend. He first beheaded her dog but then, perhaps thinking that wasn't sufficient, beheaded his girlfriend too. He then carried her head around town scaring the crap out of the townsfolk before stabbing a police officer, stealing a police car and running down three people.

You would think that a city council would recognise it's own city skyline right? Hmmmmm. Well Birmingham (England) City Council just paid 15,000GPB to print and mail out a brochure about its recycling successes only to have it pointed out to them that the skyline used was actually that of Birmingham - Alabama.

How embarrassing....

A few years ago I made my first trip to Chicago and what a surprise that was. An amazing downtown and lake front and tons to see and do. The only problem with that trip was flying from Houston and being delayed all day due to thunderstorms over O'Hare....but we made it eventually.

The lake front is particularly amazing with restaurants and boats to look at. We took a trip on a boat and that skyline is even better seen from offshore. Like I said above - tons and tons to do for folks of all sizes and ages....

As regular readers will know I am a Hull City fan and I am pleased to report that they won their first game and are now the only Premier League team to be unbeaten in that league!!!

So this was the week when Bigfoot once again made the news. But is it a hoax or is it real? Apparently DNA results point to a hoax returning mixed results of human and opossum! Gosh though it would be nice if something like that could be found.

I remember being a kid watching a show called Banana Splits. Frankly, it was boring and I couldn't ever quite figure out what the hell was it supposed to be? And now - yes - its back.... they are remaking it calling it a classic kid's show. It was classic alright... classic crap.

I'm not sure what is going on but Team Great Britain is pulling a lot of gold medals out of the hat and currently have the third most golds in that league table of medals.....

In previous Olympic games Team GB were lucky to get a few medals and it always seemed that the athletes were touted for big things and then didn't deliver. One had to live with the indignity of being beaten by nations like France, Trinidad and Greece in that medals table. Something has changed.....

Apparently, you can now buy beer at your supermarket in Asia straight out of the tap and into your store plastic bag along with the rest of your groceries... I'm not too sure I fancy beer from a plastic bag but..... it takes all sorts I guess.

Is it me or is underwear simply getting to the point where it is pretty irrelevant? In the past, I have posted the old "positive proof of global warming picture" which really alludes to this same fact. It's a funny picture but you know it is simply true... underwear is getting smaller and smaller and smaller..... it is disappearing.

I often ponder how it is that women can wear thongs? I mean, isn't it uncomfortable? And then there is the unmentioned question too... I mean, I'm all in favour of thongs. They look great but are they really practical when it comes to the intended purpose of underwear?

Economic stimulus checks of either $600 or $1200 depending on whether single or married have been sent out to taxpayers in the US. But how was this money actually spent? Well, according to the Adult Internet Market Research Co., a lot of it went on adult (porn) site memberships!

These days it seems we all have to have superb memories for words and numbers. Now, we are likely to have to recall multiple phone numbers for a start (home, cell, business etc.) and if this isn't hard enough what about all those BLOODY passwords!

Every damn website you join from your bank to credit card company to Digg.com requires a username and password. So, if you join say 50 sites you need 50 passwords and probably half a dozen user names... It's more than I can take!
