Only in America where lawyers run amok but guess what? It's a lawyer that's being sued - a female lawyer at that!

A female lawyer shook the hand of another lawyer so vigorously after a Florida court case that she nearly felled the other lawyer according to a BBC story. What an amazing handshake. I mean, we've all experienced that firm and vigorous squeeze haven't we? When you can feel your hand bones being ground one against the other. But, that firm handshake we are told is the correct way to do it. Not one of us would ever dream of suing the person that had delivered such a handshake - would we?

Well, in this case, the handshaker has already paid $100,000 in bail after spending 1 night in jail and had to undergo a psychological examination - for a hand shake? If I was a Florida tax payer I'd be asking what the hell I was paying my tax dollars for. If I was an American - wait, I am! - I'd be shaking my head in disbelief and reminded of the $1 million awarded to a women who spilled hot coffee on herself in a MacDonald's restaurant. I'm sorry - but this is simply stupid, dumb and so American.

Just be careful then from now on delivering a handshake - too soft and you are suspect, too hard and you could face a night in jail, $100,000 bail fees and goodness knows what else.
