Oh how far has the mighty greenback fallen. Today, a Dollar gets you 99 Canadian Cents, 51 British Pence, just 0.68 of a Euro and 1.11 Swiss Francs. But you know the fall of the Dollar isn't over - there is more yet to come as interest rates most likely continue to be adjusted downwards in the US. Yes, a Dollar now buys just one third of a US Gallon of gasoline.

There was a time when other nations coveted the US Dollar. Now they can't dump it in world currency markets fast enough in favor of the Euro or the UK Pound.

American tourists who actually leave the US this year will be in for a shock especially if their destination is London. They will find out that their once mighty currency is virtually worthless as they pay almost $10 for a pint of British beer, almost $8 to ride the tube and more than $250 per night for a crummy hotel.

What is really painful for Americans - or should be - is the fall of the Dollar against the Euro - that stupid, man made, recent European currency that is helping to destroy local European culture - but that's another topic.

I guess, in the end the President of Iran was correct to call the US Dollar worthless and that folks is rather worrying.
