Gosh - Is it Christmas Already?
Submitted by Rant Man on Fri, 12/21/2007 - 3:10pm.I'm afraid that it is. And that means lots of silliness. I'm already sick to the back teeth of trying to walk through the city center as people in front of you suddenly stop for no reason and trying to get to the other side of the street is like threading a needle. If people drove the way they walk it really would be chaos. And of course shopping for anything is nigh on impossible. One you can't find any parking and then, two, you wait hours in lines of people trying to pay. It always makes me think that - waiting to pay. Why the hell should I ever have to wait to pay someone else?
I hate this side of Christmas. The lines, the traffic, the filled shops and streets. Waiting an extra week for mail to arrive and that sort of thing. Not to mention inevitable re-reruns of old Christmas movies on the TV. I mean, just how many times can I watch Scrooge? And I guess I sound like him don't I. Humbug!
There is a nice side to this madness though I just want it to snow on Christmas day then it will really feel like the holiday. I get some time off work and there is an atmosphere about this holiday thats so hard to define but its good.
Well - happy Xmas from me the Rant Man......
