Everyone knows that Boris Yeltsin always fancied a tipple and that Bush senior occasionally threw up at State occasions but a quick search at YouTube on this terms throws up any number of other drunk Presidents (some obviously doctored for effect). But recently, the new French President has come under more scrutiny. Unlike most Frenchmen, he seemingly cannot handle his lunch wine, like most Frenchmen, he has a penchant for younger glamorous women. Apparently, no one quite knows the correct etiquette for dealing with a President accompanied by his younger ex-model, singer girlfriend...

Oh if only the Americans had such a President - oh wait, there's plenty of drunken Bush videos there too - as for younger women - surely that would be Bill Clinton and Monica?

I've always wondered how these top politicians could be around all that food and wine at state occasions and leadership meetings and not get totally drunk. Well, now guess we know why the world is so screwed up - decisions made jet-lagged and stupified by alcohol....
