So here at AMP Radio, we don’t know why Perez Hilton picked a song that came out in 2006, by someone not named [lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm], but Perez decided to say the song was brand new as of March 10, 2010 at 8:52 pm EST and by [lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm].  What Perez failed to recognize is that the song’s title is “Brand New” and by [lastfm]Rhymefest[/lastfm] feat. [lastfm]Kanye West[/lastfm]. We’ve decided to take some time to show you the facts, correct his blunder, and do it Perez style.

As we can see here, this is the post Perez put up, showcasing Kanye’s lyrics, Perez’s thoughts, and even a link to the brand new song “Brand New”! Of course, we fixed the post for him.

Next, you can observe [lastfm]Rhymefest[/lastfm]’s Wikipedia page which lists all of his singles. As you can see we highlighted the track, and the year it came out, much cleaner than Perez would too might I add.

Finally we can see a screen shot of the official music video. Showing the date, both [lastfm]Rhymefest[/lastfm] as well as Mr. West, the view count, the date the video was posted, a killer smiley face I drew off to the top left, and finally the Annexation of Puerto Rico play, that John Madden gave to the kids in the football movie, “Little Giants”. 

That final reference takes it back to the old school, I know, but so does Perez’s post.

So in retrospect, I think this post is a good example of making sure you do your homework and due dilligence kids!  Double check and triple check something before you bash someone on your world famous website…or before you do anything for that matter!
